Shannon and Cindee Holland recently opened their business, Great Falls Rocks and Sheds on November 17th with their partner, Emily Bauer. The establishment specializes in the sale of portable buildings, as well as an assortment of rocks, minerals, gems, and custom jewelry. The foundation of this business was driven by the owners' desire to engage with the community during their retirement. Every Saturday at 5:00 PM, Great Falls Rocks and Sheds hosts a potluck dinner. While Shannon and Cindee prepare the main dish, they encourage participants to bring a dish to share, fostering a sense of community engagement. With a profound interest in geological materials, they initially focused on the rock business. However, recognizing the potential financial instability associated with this niche, they expanded their offerings to include portable sheds. Great Falls Rocks and Sheds features a diverse selection of intriguing rocks, fossils, and precious metals. The business has created an interactive experience for children, allowing them to pan for gems. Young visitors can sift through soil to discover various rocks, including affordable-grade sapphires, diamonds, rubies, and emeralds. The store also provides gold nuggets and authentic gemstones such as topaz and emeralds, among other items. The sale of portable sheds constitutes the primary focus of the business, which they offer at competitive prices. While the sheds are available for purchase, the business offers temporary rentals of sheds on the property for small enterprises to utilize as pop-up shops. Several buildings are available for individuals interested in this opportunity. Customers may rent a building for a single daily rate to sell their products or rent them on a monthly basis.
