RallyCross at the Pit

This event is at United Materials Quarry. Registration is open and can be found here:
RallyCross takes your driving experience to the next level. While on the course, you will traverse multiple types of surfaces that will test and hone your ability to respond quickly to traction variables and constantly changing track conditions. RallyCross tests the vehicle’s agility and handling, rather than its speed or power
Although they look like fun, we are not similar to “Nitro-Rally-X” or other televised “Rally-X” events.
We follow the rules of SCCA Rallycross, so its you & your car against the clock, (no side-by-side racing.)
Another difference: There are NO JUMPS on the course.
A win in SCCA Rallycross comes by having the lowest cumulative time for the day within your class, after running multiple laps (often 8 to 10, or more, # determined on raceday by the rally chairman)
Location: Our first event of this fall is at the “United Pit Location”. The event will be held southwest of the KOA campground in Great Falls. From 10th Avenue South, turn south on 51st Street. (Do not enter the KOA campground.) Before the entrance to the KOA, follow the road as it turns to the right (west). Cones will be laid out to guide you to the staging area.
Set-up and Check-in: Meet at the trailer at 9 a.m. Check-in and Tech will take place there.
Competition Fee:
$35.00 Per Driver
Competition Vehicles: Eligibility can be viewed here. Please read the rules before registering. From there, you should be able to determine your class. Vehicles cannot be over 90% height-to-width ratio (For example, if your car is 100 inches wide, it can only be 90 inches tall.)
-Make sure you have a solid battery strap. No bungees!
-Your exact class is not needed, but please be as close as possible. Your class will be determined after Tech Inspection.
-DOT-approved studded tires are not allowed at this time, on this track.
Windshields may have cracks in the outer lamination only, and must not obstruct the driver’s view.
Helmets: Snell 2010, M2010 or SA2010 helmets or newer. (A limited number of loaner helmets will be available on-site.)
A limited number of helmets are available to borrow for the event, but cannot be shared unless they are in the same household.
Passengers: Allowed, 1 per car, ONLY if there are spare helmets. Both passengers must wear masks if they do not live in the same household.
Minors: Drivers must have a signed release from parents on file. Passengers, 12-18 must have a signed release form by parents on file. Minor waivers are good for 1 year from the date it was signed.
Spectators: Allowed, must sign the waiver.
Lunch: We are planning on taking a break for lunch. Please bring your own lunch as the closest restaurants will take too long to travel to and from.
Event is at 1520 51st St S, Great Falls, MT
