Things to Know About New Sunday Edition of the Great Falls Gazette

  • The current Monday and Friday papers will become Tuesday and Thursday Papers
  • While Tuesday and Thursday will continue being available via postal delivery, the Sunday paper will be home delivery ONLY, at least initially.
  • New deadlines for story and ad submissions The Weekday deadline is the day before the publication date, at noon. Sunday Deadline is Friday at 5:00 pm (Friday is a much larger paper and requires more time to layout and print!)
  • Due to the larger size, and increased expected readership, plus the availability of the paper being seven days, ad prices are slightly higher in the Sunday edition. Note: Ads make our paper less expensive than it would be if the subscribers had to pay for everything. We ask that our readers consider supporting our advertisers.
  • Sunday will have stories from throughout the week, plus content only available in the Sunday edition. No single paper has EVERYTHING. Each edition generally has different stories, columns, obituaries, puzzles, etc. Some things are put in Sunday from the other papers, but certainly not everything. Sunday will however be the more comprehensive issue.
  • Sunday will be much larger than the current editions of the paper. We expect 32+ pages per week!
  • Sunday will initially be available for $1.50. Depending on ad sales and other factors, we’d like to keep that price point. However, depending on our advertiser support level, it may need to go to $2 per issue.
  • Once Sunday papers begin, rack locations will always have the current Sunday Paper and the most recent weekday paper.
  • Like the current daily editions, back issues of the Sunday edition are available from the Great Falls Gazette Office, 1601 2nd Ave N.
  • Existing subscribers on home delivery may opt to start receiving the Sunday edition. This will reduce the number of weeks you receive your paper, thus requiring you to renew your subscription earlier. You can turn editions off and on at will, it really is not problem for us, however do realize that changes need to be made at least a day before the publish date of the edition you want, this gives us time to update our delivery lists and ensure that a paper is produced for you. You can always upgrade and pick up your edition from our office.
  • Advertisers, because Sunday is expected to have an even greater circulation than the weekday issues, it will have a higher ad price. Feel free to contact sales for a new rate card if you have not received one yet.
  • Sunday papers are not currently available for promo or sample. Advertisers may request tear sheets if needed. Out-of-date samples may be available at a later date.
  • The Sunday paper has more pages but is in the same booklet format we use for the daily paper. Our goal is to keep the readability of the current paper.
