Great Falls Gazette, Made in Montana, in (Almost) Every Way

Great Falls Gazette is unique. Eighty percent of our authors were born in Montana, specifically in Great Falls. We now print every copy right here in Great Falls. We try to buy every supply we can from vendors in Montana (our paper comes from Warden Paper in Black Eagle!). We get our Internet from locally owned companies. We are serious when we say we like it local.

So, is there something wrong with people from outside of Montana? Of course not. Folks from other places are great, and we ALL come from somewhere else, some just many generations ago. Our Editor, Karen, is just such a person. But as things happen, even most people here at the Gazette are from Montana, just like the paper we love!

A few people think there is only room for one newspaper or source of information. That’s like saying you can only own a Chevy or a Ford truck, not both. How ridiculous. As publisher of this paper, I read many other area papers, blogs, and other Internet sources. Every source has its attractions, and every one has drawbacks. You become much more enlightened by getting a good cross-section and leaving the hysterics out.

So, bottom line: If you enjoy our paper, thank you; it complements our whole team. If you like another news source, that’s great, too. Be you. For us, it’s all about being Montanan, sticking with the old ways of doing things, and caring for ourselves! Our little Great Falls Gazette is for and about Montanans, both those born here and those who started elsewhere!
