Touro College Grand opening in Great Falls

Touro University held the grand opening of their College of Osteopathic Medicine Great Falls location on Monday, August 7, 2023. This new college is located at 2801 18th Ave. South, close to Benefis Health System and Great Falls Central Catholic High School.

Touro University welcomed 109 freshmen students from 24 states across the country, and 4 countries, at a white coat ceremony at the Civic Center in Great Falls. Later they held the ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the new campus and recognize all those who played a role in making this new school possible.

Present at the ceremonies were Kenneth Steier, dean and Chief Academic Officer of the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine Harlem, Middletown and Great Falls locations, and Rabbi Moshe Krupka, Executive Vice President and Ombudsman for Touro University.

Touro College was established in 1970 to focus on higher education for the Jewish community in New York City. It now has 19,000 students at 35 schools in four countries with programs in health sciences, technology, law, liberal arts, Jewish studies and education. The Great Falls campus is Touro’s third school of osteopathic medicine, with locations in New York City and Middletown, New York.

This new college is three levels and 100,000 square feet, featuring two large classrooms, a lecture hall, around 30 study rooms and five labs. Construction was overseen by Erik Sletten of Sletten Construction in Great Falls, and ground was broken on the project in October of 2021
